About the App

The concept that drove my work for this project was to create a summary of the 2017 Tour de France. I approached this concept by starting out with what I thought was the most dominant aspect of the event and structure the project around that. Therefore, I started out with the map data of to really establish the scale. In order to incorporate all the data without overwhelming the viewer I took the project to digital with a tablet design. Moreover, I separated the race into their respective stages with data specific to the stage. Since this was meant to be a summary, I had to simplify the complex systems of the race to fit a screen. Yet the project still had to deliver an adept amount of information.
